If I change my mind , can I dye my hair with chemical hair color after using henna?

Can I use lightener or bleach after using henna and plant dyes?
Yes, chemical lightener can lift henna hair color to a lighter shade, while expecting to have warm undertones. For example, you can achieve stunning apricot highlights on auburn hair, but you will not be able to create a cool or platinum blonde until the henna grows out.

Since henna is completely natural, clients leave the salon to process where they can multitask, go shopping, stroll downtown Sandusky along the lake, kick up your heels at home with a good book, watch a movie or take a nap and easily rinse/shampoo at home. Many clients find the properties of henna create a therapeutic, zen experience.
Stylists in the past have told me henna is bad. Why is yours different?
Henna is not taught in cosmetology school, so any experience hair stylists may have had with henna are thru clients that have used boxed or liquid/cream henna from the store. Readily available "compound hennas" purchased at the stores very often contain metallic compounds that can melt or turn processed hair green. These poor quality products are not true henna, often contain chemicals, make the hair brittle and react poorly with ammonia hair dyes.
The henna and plant dyes used at The Green Leaf Salon are pure plant powders only. They are independent lab tested for purity.
